1. Pour the drippings into a measuring cup or bowl, removing any grizzle or pieces of meat.
2. Set the drippings aside for about 20 minutes*. The fat will float to the top.
*To speed up the process, place the drippings in the refrigerator or freezer.
3. Once separated, gently spoon the fat off the top.
4. Take a paper towel and gently blot the top of the remaining drippings - this will suck up any remaining fat.
Voila! Fat free drippings!
Is it worth it? Absolutely! For each tablespoon of fat removed you're eliminating 117 calories and 13 grams of fat - pretty awesome, right?
